About Elli & Jacno
Elli & Jacno were a French 1980s electro-pop act. They were quite successful in France and to some extent in Britain, having once been featured on the cover of Melody Maker magazine. Jacno (aka Denis Quillard) and Elli Medeiros decided to start the band after leaving punk band Stinky Toys. Jacno composed and performed the music while Elli wrote and sang the lyrics. They released three albums together before separating and beginning solo careers. A compilation Symphonies de Poche was released by Virgin a decade later.
