About Moonshine

There are at least 10 bands who go by the name Moonshine. 1) Swedish Producer and DJ-duo Moonshine consists of the two brothers, Victor and Oliver Simic from Stockholm, Sweden. In June 2019 they released a slap house cover of the song "Sweet Dreams" which gained a lot of success. The song went viral all over the world ( #1 in France, #2 in Denmark, #6 in Sweden) and ended up on several of the biggest playlists. The track also managed to sell gold in Sweden. After the success of their previous release they followed up with a cover on the famous ”What is Love” by Haddaway, together with the Dutch singer/songwriter “Twan Ray”. The song gained early attention and went viral in the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. The song also got them on the cover and #1 on the Dutch ”Hot New Dance” playlist as well as being played on the Swedish radiostation "P3". The duo has a lot of exciting projects and releases set for the future, so stay tuned! 2) Underground hiphop group consisting of Able Body, Vesuvio and Zinn. Their only album under the Moonshine moniker, "Weep No More", was released in 1996 on Arcane Records. Later on the group became known as The Anonymous. 3) Doom metal band from Baltimore, MD. Haunting, slow, groovy, doom metal mastery. Released their self titled CD through Torture Garden Picture Show. Formed by Hamza Farooq and Varun Menon, Moonshine is a mixture of different styles and a very random sense of humour. They have recently released their first single which can be heard on their MySpace page www.myspace.com/MoonshineBH. 5) Soulful rock band from Long Beach, California featuring Matthew Edwall, former singer of This Love Machine. They have released one album, for free download, on their website www.moonshinelives.com. 6) Melodic blackmetal band from Korea. Main photo is their picture. Very melodic, even if they do blackmetal stuff. They released 3rd. album [Eternal] recently(2008/06/03), which went 'Gothic Metal' style. The band members are Frank Hall, Lena Ullman, Johnny Moynihan. 10) Rockabilly band from Modesto, California, United States.
