About Love Athena

Also known as hurtu and the Shears, Love Athena was a New Jersey band formed in 2002 by C-Mac (later of Super RIver), Aidan McEneaney, and Sam Deutsch (aka Sam Wade, Disco). The three often swapped instruments and performed songs written by Deutsch and/or C-Mac. Other members that passed through the lineup included Peter Cross, Will Floyd, Jeff Ziga, Tim Nelson, and most prominently Alec Signorino. Playing a distinctly loose and emotional style of indie rock the group is best remembered for "Morning Glory," "A Shot in the Dark," and the Ramones tribute "I Hate You."
