About Super River
Super River is a band from Aragon, New Mexico based in Los Angeles that plays what they call "biodrone". In September of 2011 the planets aligned in such a way that brought Jesse Johnstone (drums), Alex Heerman (guitar), C-Mac (bass), Kathryne Dameron (synth/vox/guitar), and Jason Zukor (sleigh bells/double tambourines/new technology) together from all over the country into one spot. Intense improvised sessions saw songs appear organically out of thin air - lyrics and all touching on a countless number of influences rearranged like never before. Krautrock rhythm, roaring and/or abrasive guitars, delicate keys are some things to be expected in some cases in their music. The group's nine-track debut album "This One Reminds Me The Most Of Us" was released on July 20, 2012. In September of 2012 the four-track instrumental EP Console Drain was released for download on their bandcamp page. After debuting darker, heavier material in performance they have commenced work on a second full-length "The Ball Python Manual." The band at times has collaborated with other musicians such as Miles Marsico(New Technology), Maxfield Dameron (Wizard Rifle), and Colin O'Brien-Lux.
