Mr. Disco
About Mr. Disco
Mr. Disco was a short-lived project formed by Love Athena/Batwolf Members Sam "Arthur Disco" Deutsch (Sam Wade of Disco) on drums and synth and Christopher "The Lummox" McEneaney (AKA C-Mac of Super River) on "The Machine" in spring of 2004. It began at a basement show at the home of bassist Robert Tarantino with an improvised set dedicated to Ernie Keebler. The next week the duo recorded "Liam, Show Us On the Doll Where He Touched You," "How Do You Sell Ketchup to a Ketchup Salesman?" and the transcendent and controversial "Cicada Season" for the unreleased EP Larry David Salad Bar. A little later the group performed a piece called "Midnight in the Garden of Salad and Breadsticks" before a stunned audience at the Montclair Kimberly Academy before the members went to spend more time concentrating on the Batwölf project featuring Will Stratton and Pow Wow's Jeff Nazareno.
