About Sam Wade

Sam Wade was born in Parsippany, NJ and started studying violin at 2 1/2 in the Suzuki program at Montclair State University. Several years later he started taking lessons with NY Philharmonic violinist Oscar Ravina, and he appeared in the Wes Craven film 'Music of the Heart' with Meryl Streep. Sam taught himself guitar in middle school after several years of piano lessons and went on to study guitar for a year in high school with Vic Juris whose song Horizon Drive was famously sampled for Gang Starr's hit 'Mass Appeal.' He started performing as a solo artist shortly after he completed these lessons and appeared on Will Stratton's debut album 'What the Night Said,' playing violin towards the end of high school. After college, Sam retreated to the confines of his bedroom and shifted his focus to making electronic music after years of recording in the indie rock genre. His first EPs Wizard and Sunset Highway Drive are coming out in August 2018, with a full-length album projected to be released in the fall.
