About Broj

BroJ is a band from Eindhoven, The Netherlands, formed in October 2003. The band's got 2 main members, Josh en Burm. Their full names are Bram Witvliet and Joshua Moerman . There also were more members in the beginning, Repsaj_Nav and Evil. But they have been inactive for over four years so they`re not really members anymore. BroJ makes their songs with music software, mainly eJay, although their latest records contained tracks that were partially or even completely played on acoustic instruments as piano or spanish guitar. Most of the time they compose their own music but they sometimes cover songs by their favourite bands. Discography HipHop-era BroJ started with making hiphop-like songs. They made their lyrics in different languages. Three hiphop-albums are made: 1. Late 2003: The Edge 2. January/February 2004: Unplugged 3. February - May 2004: Hydratation Hydratation was never finished, because BroJ started to make dance-like songs since the new software. Dance/Trance-era BroJ got new software, so a new genre started. Their songs became more dance-like. BroJ gradually moved to more rocky songs. It's hard to define the transition of the eras. Here are some albums of the second 'era': 4. May/June 2004: Incandescence 5. July - September 2004: The Future Is Now 6. September - Fall '04-'05: Piccallali* 7. Late 2004: Destiny 8. December 2004 - January/February 2005: A New World They began working on their ninth album early March 2005 but then they took a break that lasted until July 2005. They finished the album mid September calling it "The Revolution". You can here a different genre coming up on this album. New Generation-era BroJ now makes rock-like music, but still they experiment with other genres. They don't like to stick to one genre. They started to change genres approximately at their tenth album. 10. October 2005 - February 2006: The Tenth Dimension 11. February - April/May 2006: Quaternion 12. February 2005 - Fall 2006: Yahoot* 13. May - December 2006: Interconnected BroJ had levelled up their software to eJay Techno 5, a new improved version of Techno 4. From BroJ's 14th album on, which is ironically called BroJs 14th, all songs are, except for the 'Dikke Puisten', which are still made with Techno 4, made with Techno 5. 14. November 2006 - February 2007: BroJs 14th 15. April - August 2007: Near The End 16. August - December 2007 : Empathy Empathy has been considered, by both BroJ and their fans, to be their best album to date. Because they didn't want to try to release an even better album, they decided to devote one album to 'Dikke Puisten', in contrast to their masterpiece Empathy. 17+18. Inspri / Inspriloos* 19. January - Septembre 2008 Poly Quaint 20. October 2008 - January 2009: Drafting View of Reality 21. February 2009 - July 2009: Line of Sight Future BroJ is beginning to use real instruments. This started on their 19th album. They will probably continue doing this and explore new possibilities. "The guitar and piano are two instruments which we both can play on, so we use them to express our thoughts and musical ideas, just as we do with eJay." Their 22th title, which is yet to be released, will contain mostly acoustic tracks, in contrast to Line of Sight, which had more emphasis on dance and electro tracks. You can hear their latest albums on Last.fm. If you want to hear more, just give a shout in the shoutbox! * When BroJ makes music, it doesn`t always work out the way they want it. The beginning of a song that they think is crap ends on a so called "crap-album", which they produce after every five albums. Their sixth album is "Piccallali", which contains Dikke Puisten (litterally translated: 'Fat Pimple') and other sorts of crap. Their twelfth album, Yahoot, contains more experimental crap. Their 24th album, yet to be released, will be called "iotocotin" and will contain experimental, new generation, typical BroJ crap! Songs like 'Geest' and 'De Ahr Shaar' are examples of iotocotin tracks that certainly will put a smile on your face because of the sound, or they will make you cry because of the crapness!
