About Marguerite
Marguerite is a French singer-songwriter, born Marguerite Dedeyan, who rose to prominence after participating in the 2024 season of Star Academy, the long-running French television music competition. Her appearance on the show introduced her to a wide audience and showcased her distinctive voice, introspective songwriting style, and understated stage presence. Following her breakthrough on Star Academy, Marguerite signed with Sony Music France and Columbia Records. In April 2025, she released her debut single, “Les filles, les meufs,” a contemporary pop track exploring themes of female identity, emotional complexity, and self-acceptance. The song gained significant traction on streaming platforms and established her as a promising new voice in modern French pop. On September 26, 2025, she released her debut EP, Grandir, a six-track project blending modern pop production with chanson influences. The EP centers on themes of growth, freedom, vulnerability, and the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The new musical began previews at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London on 7th May 2008 and will have its press night on 20th May 2008.
