About STAR ACADEMY
A French television game show. 14 participants are placed into a big mansion, and are given singing, dancing and acting lessons. After an exam each week, the three participants with the lowest exam points enter a poll. One is saved by the TV audience, phoning in, a second by the other participants; The third is ejected. Daily viewing : one hour. On Saturdays : a prime-time show where participants sing duos with famous singers, or dance especially-written choreographies. Each season is known by a number. Second season, for example, Star Academy 2 ps : is called Star Ac' for short ;) As mentioned above, the idea of the show is French, but as many talent shows, 'Star Academy' has also made its appearance in other countries such as neighbour Belgium. The format stayed the same as in France. In Belgium, Katerine Avgoustakis, won the first edition. At this moment, there are no thoughts about making another edition in Belgium.
