About The Trashwomen

The Trashwomen was an all-female surf garage punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Formed in 1991 by neophyte musicians Tina Lucchesi (of Top Ten, and The Bobbyteens,) and Danielle Pimm; and former Eight Ball Scratch gutarist and now mother of artist Kreayshawn, Elka Zolot, the band quickly built a following in the San Francisco garage rock scene. Tina Lucchesi is also the front woman for Tina & The Total Babes – this time in an otherwise male band – who released an album in 2001 on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label.
