Tony Cantisano is an artist originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, He is a truly unique and exciting versatile guitarist, producer and arranger in music. Known for combining elements of rock, progressive, jazz, classical and Latin music, Tony Cantisano's passion for music is undying. He spent 15 years as a professional musician living in Brazil and then, following his family's background, moved to Europe. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14 and quickly realized that music was his passion. Some of his early influences include Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, The Beatles, Iron Maiden, Rush, AC/DC, Queen, and Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim. At 18 years old; After graduating from high school, he studied at the Musiarte School in Rio de Janeiro and graduated with a degree in Guitar and a Bachelor of Music from Estácio de Sá University. As a guitarist, bandleader, and music director, he has played sideman for over 200 artists worldwide, including Neil Lockwood (Alan Parsons, Electric Light Orchestra Part II, Asia) The Drifters, Clem Curtis (The Foundations) Clint Holmes, Ian Finkel, Cecil Welch (Henry Mancini) Tian Jiang, Bobby Brooks Wilson, Alfreda Gerald, Lorna Luft, Ann Hampton Callaway and many others. He has also played in many different bands, including the British rock band CIRCO DEL RIO.
