About The Volecanoes

Though best known as a song by British ska band The Originals (and appearing on many ska compilation albums credited to them), the song 'No One Like You' was actually released by the band when they were still called The Volecanoes, on a four-track EP showcasing local talent from Kent, United Kingdom. The band was fronted by Bob Coltart (vocals, guitar) and also featured Arthur Kay (bass), Terry Cutting (drums), Ted Maitland (organ), Perry White (piano) and Paul Mlynarz (saxophone). Coltart and Maitland resurrected the name The Volecanoes in 1989 and released the album Skatoon Time on Skank Records. Bob Coltart died in 2001.
