About The Mixing Chef
Kristof Du Mon from Berchem near Antwerp (Belgium) is the man behind "The Mixing Chef". His passion is to cook Ambient and harmonic Downtempo music, flavoured by ingredients of all Downtempo and Chillout genres. He experienced his love for music in earlier years through learning to play guitar by himself, but when he discovered how to produce chilled electronic music by using a computer, the idea for the project "The Mixing Chef" was born. He self describes his style as meditative trip, a smooth blend of many electronic chilled downtempo genres. Mostly influences like Trip-hop, Chillstep and Ambient seasoned with love for Lounge define his music. His inspiration are artists like Massive Attack and CD-series like Cafe del Mar and Supperclub
