About The Joshua Hotel
The Joshua Hotel is an indietronica trio from Inverness, Scotland. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist Joshua MacKenzie, guitarist Louis Slorach and drummer Joshua Gilbert. Initially formed as the solo project of MacKenzie during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, the project debuted in early 2021 with the release of The Moments, receiving heavy praise and radio play from figures such as Vic Galloway and Jim Gellatly. This was followed by a string of singles and the release of the Closet Romantic EP in October. The project was signed to Charlie Clark's No Big Deal Music label before it's dissolution. Following a period of inactivity, the project made it's debut as a band in 2022 with Louis Slorach and Joshua Gilbert. The project released it's first new material in two years, Don't You Remember in July 2023. Their second EP, Oblivion Days was released via Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow in November the same year. The band would confirm in October 2023 that work had begun on their debut studio album, produced by Jason Shaw at Fuzzface Studios. After much anticipation, Rapture Party was released on September 26th, 2025 via Last Night From Glasgow, reaching #3 on the Scottish Albums Chart and #14 on the Vinyl Albums Chart.
