The 45
About The 45
Band Members: D.J. Lynn Cody Denton Daniel Sage Justin Dietrich Brandon Artinger With a sound that has been compared to STP and Smashing Pumpkins, mixing in touches of Zeppelin, GNR and AC/DC, St. Louis-based The 45 is equal parts fresh and energetic, seasoned and mature. Eighteen-year-old Cody Denton has been called a “guitar prodigy,” and lead vocalist DJ Lynn mixes a voice often compared to that of Billy Corgan, with the angst of Kurt Cobain. Established songwriter/guitarist Daniel Sage has hundreds of songs and performances under his belt, and the rhythm section, comprised of drummer Brandon Artinger (formerly of Inimical Drive), and bassist/engineer Justin Dietrich (who is currently working in tandem with legendary producer Stuart Epps [Led Zeppelin, Oasis] on The 45's first LP). The band is perfectly at home in the studio or on a stage, proven by their polished studio EP “Feed the Monster” (2011) and recent appearance at St. Louis’ Pointfest 28 (capacity 20,000) headlined by Korn, Finger Eleven, Papa Roach, Sevendust, and Hollywood Undead. -Paul Grimshaw Music Columnist, Weekly Surge Magazine Former Artist Relations Manager, Essential/Jive Records
