About Talbot

Talbot is a world-touring psychedelic doom duo from Tallinn, Estonia, founded in 2003 by Magnus Andre and Jarmo Nuutre. They are widely considered one of Estonia's most successful heavy music exports, known for a "crushing" and "atmospheric" sound that balances sludge metal with industrial and post-rock textures. The band debuted in 2008 with the EP Tundra, quickly gaining international attention for creating a massive wall of sound using only a two-piece lineup (bass/synths and drums). Their music is defined by heavy, down-tuned bass riffs, layered synthesizers, and a vocal style that shifts between clean melodies and harsh growls. While their early work (EOS, 2010) was rooted in pure stoner doom, their later releases (Magnetism, 2018) incorporated more complex, "pummeling" rhythms and psychedelic soundscapes. Talbot has performed over 250 shows across Europe, Russia, Japan, and Australia. They are veterans of major international stages, including the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. Current members: Magnus Andre (Armed to the Teeth) - bass, synthesizers, vocals; Filipp Lepalaan - drums. Former members: Jarmo Nuutre - drums, vocals; Evgeniy Mikhaylov - drums, vocals. http://www.talbot-music.com
