About Spiral System
Spiral System is London duo Joe Crisp and Cliff Ovenden; Joe - percussionist and Cliff - guitarist are versatile producers and experienced players. After 10 years of collaborations and projects involving co-writing and production these former session musicians who met while recording at Real World now work together out of Spiral Studios in West London. ‘In Your Dreams’ is the first solo album resulting from this long standing musical partnership. ‘In your Dreams’ includes vocal tracks from both MC Precise and Lottie Child who came to the mix as singers in their own right and have not only blended seamlessly with Joe and Cliff’s vision but have also bought their own flavours to the project. Collaborating extensively on the album was a long standing musical colleague of Joe’s, Stephen Hussey, on strings. Stephen brings with him a wealth of experience and has arranged strings for acts ranging from Soul2soul to Oasis, as well as more recent projects such as the arrangement and conducting of an orchestral piece for Nitin Sawhney at the Barbican and string arrangements for Nightmares on Wax and Groove Armada.
