About Sound Express

The name Sound Express has been used by two artists: 1) The legendary swedish action jazz duo of Ingemar Landén and Tillbjörn Persson playing hammond&drums in the vein of Hansson & Karlsson. Released their only album "The Sound Express" in 1969. 2) Alternative Blues Rock: Sound Express are a rare breed of band in todays music market, having accomplished so much at an early stage in their music careers, while completing every aspect of their act to the fullest professional standards. Their sound is spot on, hard, heavy, rich, catchy and memorable. Sound Express are definitely an up and coming, blues rock band to keep an eye out for. Members are: Henry Black, age 15, guitar and vocals. Henry has played guitar for years. He had his first electric guitar at age 7. He became exponentially better after attending Rock and Roll Camp at Valencia College in 2008 and 2009. He then cut his teeth jamming with local blues guitarists at open jams around Orlando. He opened for Lifehouse in July 2010 at the Daytona Band Shell to a crowd of 4,000 and never looked back. Grant adds a second guitar, sharing leads with Henry. He has been playing since the age of 8 and has appeared on the concert stages at Hard Rock Live, House of Blues and Universal Studios where he was invited up to perform with the legendary Beach Boys. When he’s not on stage with Sound Express, Grant enjoys playing bass and drums, performing as a DJ and spending time in his home studio where he creates and records his own music. James Killgallon, 19, plays bass. James was endorsed as a Gibson Artist at the age of 13. The boys are now backed by world renowned drummer Travis Smith. Travis, formerly of Trivium is consistently ranked as one of the worlds top drummers.Travis adds amazing strength and power to the message while still keeping true to the sound of the band.
