About Sift
1) The Sift sounds like unrelenting post-modernist sloth/grind cubism... core. Based out of Lowell(ish), Ma and made up of 3 sloths, Daniel Blair, Shaun Clarke, Stephen Harutunian. 2) SiFT Based in Austintown Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown, these five members of the band take music to the next level of intensity. Formed in November of 96' in a "New York Music" store, SIFT is a diverse fusion of Rap and Metal that makes the listener beg for more. They are influenced by a keen genre of the "new school". From the first note, they pack a hard-driven sound that is surrounded by energy. From Shmoe's seriously emotional fronting, packed by the rumble of Duke's drumming, mixed in with the heavy-edged guitar sounds of Speedy and Mijo, sealed with the final power-groove of Bubba's bass is the reason why this band can't be missed. Their stage presence slams together a wallop of emotion and aggression all at the same time. This is truly a serious band that will gift the listener exactly what they do best!
