About Sliimy

Sliimy is a young French singer-songwriter, born in 1989 in Saint-Étienne (France). Sliimy was discovered on myspace by Perez Hilton in December 2008 with his cover of Britney Spears' Womanizer. His first single 'Wake Up' was released in February 2009 and quickly picked up by radio stations and available for download on multiple platforms. His first album 'Paint Your Face' was recorded in Saint-Etienne in January 2009. It was mixed in NYC by Bryce Goggin at Trout Recording Studios, who has already worked with Antony and the Johnsons, Bishop Allen, Nada Surf, Joan As Police Woman, Herbie Hancock, Phish, Spacehog, The Lemonheads, Akron/Family, Swans and Pavement. The album is planned to be released April 6 2009 with Warner. Due to his androgynous silhouette, XXL glasses, colourful and retro clothing, high voice and English accent he's often compared to Mika.
