If the Buddha Bar compilations that he helped pioneer no longer hold sway as the zonk-out music of choice for wannabe yogis, that hasn't stopped DJ Ravin from securing bookings around the world. He arrives in Tokyo in belated support of last year's Buddha Bar XIII, produced with series regular David Visan, which mined the same vein of ethnic-imbued trance that Ravin's been tapping for years. The varied DJ lineup for the night also includes local techno and house staples Ryo Tsutsui, DJ Amiga and Koutaro.A, while there's a performance promised by the 'American Apparel Team' – just in case you needed some scantily clad dancers to enliven the proceedings. David Visan is coupled to Ravin, one of the DJs that deliveries of the Buddha Bar series has compiled. Was the third to do so, after the first two signed by its creator Claude Challe, and after the third, which took Ravin. Born in France, Vietnamese mother and Romanian father, so again we have an exotic origin, the requirement seems to have to meet all compiler of the Buddha Bar series (I can even imagine a form that the first question is " you are of exotic origin? "). After studying music in Los Angeles, returning to France he was able to be residende the Parisian club Buddha Bar, the first step to becoming a compiler of the series. It has signed Buddha Bar IV (2002), Buddha Bar V (2003) and Buddha Bar VII (2005), the latter with Ravin. He has also compiled Chill Out Paris (2001), Chill Out Paris, Vol. 2 (2002) and Chill Out Paris, Vol. 3 (2002), so it is clear that those who hold to the sagas of which they are responsible. In addition, he is a composer and producer, he has created solo pieces, but also in two duets, one with Carlos Campo (called David Visan & Carlos Campo), the other by Michael Winter (named David Visan & Michael Winter). However, in none of these projects it has released a studio album, but their issues are heard in much of the albums Mtn is an expert in self-promotion.
