About Quiet Sun

A good example of mid-70s post-psychedlic avant-fusion. Renowned as the band Phil Manzanera played with just before joining Roxy Music, Quiet Sun also had Charles Hayward [This Heat], and Bill McCormack as key members. The album has echoes of Robert Wyatt-era Soft Machine and gives some hints of where some of the early fire of Roxy Music came from. A true gem and well worth listening to - repeatedly, especially in the bath after Schoenberg! Quiet Sun is also the name of an electronic producer based in the UK. http://quietsunsounds.bandcamp.com/
