About Pink Elephant
Pink Elephant is the name of at least four groups. 1) a Korean Indie band 핑크 엘리펀트. Korean indie rock band Pink Elephant is formed in 2003 when Taek met Gwanghee in Anyang City. Influenced by US/British grunge/garage rock, They used to cover some tracks of the Libertines in their earlier local gigs. After over a hundreds gigs in a year, their self-titled debut album 'Pink Elephant' has released in October 2008. Pink Elephant was quite successful with their saturday gigs in Seoul and soon they got renouned for Hongdae indie rock era. Now in 2011, the band is resting while Gwanghee just got out from the military, Jiwon is working for company, and Taek is still making some tunes constantly. Only Wookno is doing his music career with some other bands, such as Seogyo Group Sound, Summer Here Kids, TV Yellow and Pagoda. 2) a collaboration between Geert Huinink, Dennis Waakop Reijers-Fraaij, & Tijs Verwest, who produced a track called 'LAX' as an Intro to Disc 2 of Tiësto's In Search of Sunrise 5 compilation. 3) a German rock band 4) a Greek funk/ neo-soul/ bossa nova cover band. http://www.reverbnation.com/pinkelephantthebandgr http://www.last.fm/music/Pink+Elephant+GR
