About Philthkids
Philthkids have made a name for themselves internationally with their distinct brand of cross-genre productions. Born and raised in Toronto, the crew was immersed in Jungle, Hip Hop and House that embodied the traditional sound of analog format and production. Euphoric minor-chords and penetrating subs of classic Jungle mashed with rugged, high-energy Footwork percussion offers the audience a bubbling dance-floor experience, welcoming this new hybrid phenomenon to the West Coast. The Philthkids have worked with many names across the globe including Chrissy Murderbot, Bombaman, Big Dope P and Detroit Legend Dj Assault. In respect to their own productions, you can expect to hear a wide gamut of sounds influenced by genres including Jungle, Detroit Techno, Acid House and Chicago Footwork music. In 2013, the crew expands with the launch of their own label ‘Philthtrax’, intended as a vehicle for pushing all new original Jungle-Juke hybrid tracks.
