About Northcape
Northcape is the ongoing work of a British artist, and can broadly be described as downtempo melodic electronica. The latest Northcape album Exploration and Ascent, the follow-up to 2010's Captured From Static and 2011's Alluvial EP, was released by Sun Sea Sky Productions in early 2013. This was followed by the organically-inspired Glasshouse EP in 2014. Current work continues to widen and deepen Northcape's style of electronica, bringing in influences from a wide range of genres including IDM, electronica, shoegaze and ambient music. Previous releases include a first self-released CD in 2005, a second independent release ('Detach') in 2007 and an EP ('Some Bright Valley EP') on the Monotonik netlabel.
