About Nancy Sinatra & Frank Sinatra

"Somethin' Stupid" is a song originally written by C. Carson Parks and released by Carson and Gaile. It was more famously released in 1967 by Frank Sinatra and his daughter, Nancy Sinatra. The song rose to #1 on the US Singles Chart and won the elder Sinatra his first Gold single. It was released on the album The World We Knew. It was the first and only instance of a father-daughter number-one song in America. "Somethin' Stupid" was re-recorded for Robbie Williams' 2001 album Swing When You're Winning, also released in that year. It was a duet with Nicole Kidman, and it became the Christmas number one on the UK Singles Chart, staying there for three weeks.
