Mert Demir (born December 26, 1993, Istanbul) is a Turkish singer, songwriter, producer, and arranger. He is known for his songs in various music genres such as pop, bedroom pop, R&B, and arabesque. Mert Demir plays several instruments, including guitar, electric guitar, bass, piano, keyboard, and DJ mixer. Born and raised in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, Demir began pursuing music during his middle school years. After finishing high school, while preparing to move abroad, he joined the competition O Ses Türkiye (The Voice Turkey) and made it to the finals. Since 2014, he has worked on various projects at FadeOut Music Studio. In 2016, he released a live version of the song Beyaz Giyme Toz Olur from the same studio. In 2017, he launched his professional music career with the release of the single Uyan. On April 5, 2019, he released his debut album Bak Kollarım Burada. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he released several singles. On November 18, 2020, he released the EP Kimim Lan Ben?, Part 1, followed a week later by Kimim Lan Ben?, Part 2. On April 2, 2021, he released his second album, Kimim Lan Ben?, which featured twenty-one tracks, including songs from the EPs as well as new material. In September 2021, his single Pusulam Rüzgar, a collaboration with Melike Şahin, received great acclaim. In November 2022, he gained nationwide recognition with Antidepresan, a single released in collaboration with Mabel Matiz, which became one of the most listened-to songs of the period. In 2023, with his three-track release Ateşe Düştüm, he became one of the most streamed artists of the year.
