About Maver Quartet
The Maver Quartet was formed in 1998 as a Tango, Jazz, & Mediterranean inspired fusion ensemble exploring the original compositions of founder, bandoneon player and flautist Carlo Maver. Their music is dynamic, exciting and soulful with the heart wrenching melodies flowing from the bandoneon underpinned by the expertise in of guitarist, Giancarlo Bianchetti, bass player Davide Garattoni, and percussionist Roberto Rossi. The Quartet has an appealing unique European and Argentinean meld that is seldom experienced in Australia. Since 1998 the Maver Quartet has performed throughout Europe and features regularly in premiere jazz venues in the quartet’s hometown Bologna.
