Miķelis Ļaksa, known by his stage name Markus Riva, is a Latvian singer and songwriter from Rīga, Latvia. Released his latest solo album Songs from NYC in 2010 with radio hits like Love to You, Quiz, Can't Sleep and Chase. The debut album was released in 2009. He is the most stylish performer by Latvian Style and Fashion Award in 2011. Markus Riva scored #1 iTunes hit with song by Gaitis Lazdans and Markus Riva - How It Feels to Be a Man that is included in international compilation by Aztec Records This Beat Is Poptronik, vol.1. In 2012 releases song We Dance for Reason featuring Ralfs Eilands (from beatbox duo PeR) after victory at Magic Dance Gala 2012. Markus Riva is creative director of club Dstyle Black in Rīga and one of the most recognizable party's DJ in Latvia. He is also radio host for Capital FM, 94.9 FM.
