About Malo Zima
Malo Zima are a Brisbane-based band, formed in early 2012. The group is composed of Amela Duheric (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Jacob de Weger (lead guitar, keyboard), Declan Kenrick (slide guitar, banjo, harmonica), Tom Hancock (drums and percussion) and Alex Mitchell (Bass). Each member comes from a diverse musical background, bringing together a unique blend of folk, jazz, country and alternative rock, resulting in a sound that could be described as atmospheric, progressive and dynamic. Having just released their first single, I Heard You Howl, the collective are now working towards recording an EP and playing more live shows.
