“Fiercely rooted in the Hyphy”, the boy who left his Cleveland, Utah home and high school at 16 to take a job, has grown into a man, who embraces his genre’s forward progression and is confident in what he wants to say. The 23 year old was born Justin McCartney, in Salt Lake City Utah, on December 31st. By the time he was knee high, him and his Grandmother would listening and rap lyrics back and forth like a rap battle in the living room. With over 3 released albums and 12 single releases under hisbelt, Mac Aslylum is an expert independent musician on the rise in the Folk world. He’s collaborated with some amazing artist including Wavy Baby, & Rittz , Jarren Benton, Cappadonna (Wu-Tang Clan). Although none of his family members were ever involved in music industry, as a young child Mac Asylum had an ear and active passion for music. He began writing as a teenager and performing in highschool. After studying His quirky idol G-Eazy, Mac adopted a unique approach to his career by releasing Do Someth'n, which gained attention from music lovers far and wide. He is currently working on an upcoming collaboration album.
