About Leslie Cours Mather
Daughter of an Army officer (“Army brat”). I have one older brother. I grew up traveling a lot and moving a lot. Started begging for piano lessons at a young age. Finally was granted them at 8 years old. My parents always tell people they have never had to ask me to practice. Started writing songs even before they let me start piano lessons. I’ve always loved to write. Most of my first songs were about moving and traveling or things I thought were funny. I was a shy kid.
