About Les Objets

Les Objets was a french band (1990-1995) led by Jérôme Rousseau (singing) and Olivier Libaux (musical arrangements and backing vocals). The music was subtile and sophisticated indie pop sung in french, similar to the first records by Autour de Lucie, Katerine and Dominique Dalcan (among others). They recorded 2 albums : La Normalité (1991) and "Qui est qui ?" (1994). The band's videos were shot back then by Michel Gondry. Jérôme Rousseau has since recorded under the name Ignatus. Olivier Libaux became one half of Nouvelle Vague. He also recorded 2 concept albums and appears on a lot of contemporary french indie pop records, either as a musician or as a producer.
