Jaxy was born in January 1995, when the first track "Like a Shadow" was recorded and released. Soon all radiostations in Estonia started to play it on the air & the song got very good response from the people. In August, 1995 Jaxy signed their first record deal with the local label "OK Records" and when the first album "The Eve of The End" was released in July, 1996 it reached no.1 and stood in Estonian Top 10 for several weeks. Jaxy`s next album "Blowing a Fuse" released in January 1998 by BGM Records was much different from the first one, but the critics loved it. In spite of Jaxy did not have managment or publisher, somehow some radiostations in Scandinavia and Russia played their songs on the air. "Blowing a Fuse" got response even from Portugal, Italy & U.S. Since the beginning every member in Jaxy has been blessed with a deep love of and dedication to music and "the real thing" comes out on the stage, they have performed in numerous clubs & festivals in Estonia & Scandinavia. In April, 2000 Jaxy`s frontman Ott Jalakas damaged his vocal chords, so the band had to postpone their new album recordings and cancel all shows, including their first Scandinavian tour. Therefore the band had problems with their record label, also some band members left Jaxy. In September, 2001 after a little brake, Jaxy started to work with their new album material and perform on stage with the new drummer. Latest album "When I Start To Fly" was released in October 2002.
