About Jascha Richter

Jascha Richter (born 24 June 1963) is a Danish singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the Danish pop-soft rock band, Michael Learns to Rock. He has composed and sung most of MLTR's songs. Some of his best known songs include "25 Minutes", "The Actor", "Sleeping Child", "That's Why (You Go Away)", "Complicated Heart", "Someday", "Wild Women", "Out Of The Blue", "Paint My Love" etc. Richter was born on 24 June 1963. He spent the first year of his life in New Hampshire, USA, before his family decided to move back to Denmark, where they settled in Århus. As a child Richter began to play both flute and cello, then piano. He was raised with classical music, but in his early teenage years he started playing and composing pop music. Growing up he among others listened to Elton John, Supertramp and Bee Gees. Richter is known as the brain behind the Danish pop group Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR for short), that through twenty years have gained worldwide success. Richter has also released two solo albums: Planet Blue in 2002 and Where I Belong in 2006.
