This is a trio to be noticed, Tunesian ud virtuoso Anouar Brahem, Indian tabla master Shaukat Hussain and on saxophone Norwegian Jan Garbarek. On various occasions they prove to be worldmusicians, working with long melodylines, using their skills to let their instruments do what ever enjoyable can be, by telling intelligent stories about building bridges, creating new cultures by using the best of their (old) cultures. All the pieces they play are fine examples of excellent listening and anticipating on what can and will be played, ever relaxed even in the more emotional moments, as subtle as can be, with compassion.
