About Jabu
Jabu is an experimental trip-hop trio from Bristol, UK , consisting of producer Amos Childs, together with vocalists Alex Rendall and Jasmine Butt. Amos Childs is also a member of Killing Sound and the Young Echo collective. In 2017 Jabu released its full-length debut Sleep Heavy on Blackest Ever Black, an album full of downtempo R&B, in which the soulful vocals of Jasmine Butt take the foreground, accompanied by sparse, introspective electronics. 2020 saw the release of the album "Sweet Company" and the cassette "Jabu + Daniela Dyson", both released on Jabu's own do you have peace? label.
