About Henry Jackman

Henry Pryce Jackman is a British composer and music producer who studied classical music at St. Paul's Cathedral Choir School, Eton College, and Oxford University. His musical background combines classical training with influences from contemporary electronic music. Jackman's career includes work in string orchestration, beat programming, sampling, sound design, production, and mixing. After collaborating with various artists, he began focusing on his own music and composing for films. He released the album "Utopia" through West One Music, which incorporates Latvian choirs, electronic music, and modern production techniques. In 2005, he completed the album "Transfiguration," published by KPM Music, which features a combination of classical styles and contemporary production along with his own lyrics. He also collaborated with guitarist and songwriter Augustus Isadore on the album "Acoustica," published by KPM Music. Jackman has contributed to programming and production for several artists, including Mike Oldfield, Marc Almond, Coolio, and Kirsty McColl. He worked with Andy Gardner to produce dance remixes for artists such as Kele le Roc and Boyzone, which received radio play on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on BBC Radio 1. He also collaborated with minimalist composer Michael Gordon on the composition "Weather" for Coalition Records. He worked with producer Trevor Horn on string arrangements for the title track of the film "Anastasia" and co-produced the song "Born On A Sunday" on the Art of Noise album "The Seduction of Claude Debussy." Additionally, Jackman produced pop tracks for artists including Gary Barlow and Justin. Jackman co-wrote and produced the song "This Could Be Heaven" with Seal for the film "The Family Man." His music has been featured on various television programs such as CNN News, the BBC, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Discovery Channel. Since 2006, Jackman has worked in the film industry, contributing as an additional composer and performer to scores by Hans Zimmer for films including "The Da Vinci Code," "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest," "The Holiday," and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."
