About The Great Imposter
Forming in 2012, The Great Imposter have gone under several monikers and have played countless shows in Melbourne. Beginning as a piano and drum piece, as the songs grew in colour, the band realised that there was a clear possibility for fizzy and distorted bass, and a dirty ska sounding horn section. Throughout 2012, the band continued to perform as a two, three, or five piece, both supporting bands and being a part of the Wakefield Acoustic Festival. In 2013, the now seven piece band went into the studio to record their debut EP titled "Find Structure Through The Chaos" at Crosstown Studios. The EP was officially released via bandcamp on May 17th, 2013.
