About Glimpse
Glimpse is Christopher Spero and was started in 2000. The concept behind Glimpse is to try to write music dictated by instinct rather than influence. ‘to just write down a feeling'. Hopefully being as honest as possible. I think people will always be attracted to honesty and will feel comfortable knowing that what they are listenting to is real and came from somewhere that was important to someone at some point. As an individual I am interested in so many different styles of music in and outside the electronic spectrum and I am keen that this is portrayed on the label. From an early age I had an interest in Jazz, Blues and Techno performing in bands and releasing electronic music on various u.k. based labels under different aliases (Attic, Olek, Spero). I then studied Sculpture at Central Saint Martin’s art school. Over the past year I have been performing live throughout Europe & Asia at clubs like Watergate (Berlin) Rex Club (Paris) The Edge (San Paulo) DV1 (Lyon) Harry Klein (Munich) Pipping (Geneva) Moog (Barcelona) Loft (Barcelona) Moona (Jena) Weekend (Berlin) Sonic Arts Festival (Blogna) Desi (Nuremburg) Supermarket (Zurich) Pipping (Geneva) Metro Dance Club (Alicante) Monsters Of House (Munich) Colours (Tokyo) Clapper (Osaka) Dimensions (Fukyoka) ect. ect. as well as gigging regularly in England. I now work with a regular visual artist and close friend rob farquhar who works under the name eyeswitch (www.eyeswitch.com). We make conceptual videos for the music and are branching more into a audio visual experience.
