GEROME SPORTELLI / BIOGRAPHY A producer and DJ since the early nineties, Gerome Sportelli hails from Belgium. His music is a reflection of his passion for different electronic sounds. At the beginning of his career he released under several different monikers, “Intex System”, “Nepz”, and “The Sense” (a collaboration with Sammy Goossens). He confirmed his talent with quality releases on labels like Teknotika, Highgrade, Sur-Muzique, Serie Records. More recently he worked with Detroit legend James Pennington, aka Suburban Knight, as part of the Suburban Knight live act (which toured world wide) and in the studio for many projects and releases. Additionally Sportelli’s solo work was featured on Suburban Knight’s own label Dark Print. After playing a key role in the creation of Serie rec, Gerome developed his own label KRAX. Influenced by the mythical sound of Chicago acid house, he takes on this style to fashion some techno and electro sounds that bring KRAX a sonic freshness without denying the old school groove realized with none other than the legendary Roland TB303. After the success of the first KRAX records, Gerome is on the forefront of this reinvention of the acid sound, which treads between electro house and neo techno.
