1. en avant was a music production unit formed in 2001 by singer-songwriter Hitomi Tsuburaya 円谷一美 (who previously debuted in the 90s under the name Yūki Hitomi 又紀仁美), arranger Ichinen Yamazaki 山崎一稔 and composer Yasuo Sako 佐孝康夫. They wrote, arranged and composed songs for various anime up until 2004—generally for other singers, but two were sung by Tsuburaya and credited en avant as the artist proper: rebirth (for Alien Nine, 2001) and Lunatic Trance ～静かなる絶叫～ (for Zaion: I Wish You Were Here, 2001). 2. En Avant hail from Hawick in the Scottish Borders and have been playing their instruments together since the summer of 06. They are an Indie/Rock band that take there infulences from Idlewild, Oasis, Block Party, Chillis, Strokes and Kubichek!
