About Dissolutio Humani Generis

Post-Punk/ New Wave/Alternative Rock band from Milan (Italy). The band starts to play in 1982 with this first formation: Paolo Arfini (voice and bass), Alessandro Marcheschi (drums), Stefano Eco (guitar) e Gabriele Gaslini (sax). Other elements in the time (between the others): Sandro Borgheresi (guitar from 1987), Luca Marin (percussions) and Giuliana Paganini (vocalist). Not a lot of infos about the band, only the awareness to have played a good role in the italian wave context (a clear demonstration of this, the number of partecipations to different italian wave compilations). The music of the band was protagonist also of an international interest: the partecipation to 2 belgian compilations, to another french comp and to one more from the United States are the demonstration of the fact (a thing very rare for an italian band of the 80's, with italian lyrics !). The sound of the band : At the beginning of career the band plays in a pure post-punk style, signed by no wave tones (grace to the sax effect especially). The remarkable songs of the first period are: Vendetta, Avatara, Psico, Sotto i Tigli, Spettri and La Gabbia. Change of the musical direction with the record Arido Cammino (the only of the band produced by a label, Toast Records 1988): the sound starts to look at the rising alternative rock movement and turns out different. The post-punk wave base remains especially grace to the bass and to the sax, but the guitar and drums are signed by a revisited classic rock sound that gives the definitive alternative rock aspect. A good album influenced, probably, by the hand of the new guitarist Sandro Borgheresi. After Arido Cammino and the partecipation to other 2 compilations, no more traces of the band.
