About Carlos Nilmmns
Carlos Nilmmns is one half of 7th Sign Recordings band Solab. His musical background spans back to his childhood playing in two orchestras before finding his feet with electronic music. Years later he met Scottish producer Vince Watson and learned the basics of hardware instruments. Ross released records from 1999-2001 with the help of Ian Elgey and Deek Reaper and later the attention grew with EMI and 7th Sign Recordings. Ross joined forces with Graham Wilson to form Solab and in 2005 released Shift EP with Alex Smoke. Today Carlos Nilmmns produces different styles of music on fine labels from around the world sharing label rosters with artists like Terrence Parker, Mike Banks, Marcellus Pittman, Moodymann, Amp Fiddler, Chez Damier, Fred P, Santiago Salazar, Gerd, Rob Hood, Sasha Dive, Johannes Volk, Aubrey, Paul St Hilaire, amongst many others respectfully. The music varies from house to techno but on occasions ventures into soundtracks and jazz. Ross is currently recording music with Detroit legend Niko Marks on various projects exploring the richer colourful soulful sound of electronic music whilst performing in some of Europes major cities.
