About Calamento
Calamento was formed at Barcelona around January of 1999, by members Zsolt Hernadi (Budapest), Jan Laurenz (Locarno) and Javi García (Barcelona). Calamento´s music can hardly be defined and has no limits. Their wide range of styles includes everything from Paco de Lucía to Black Sabath, and a big passion for ethnic music.Their approach is purely acoustic and takes the listener to unexpected sensations. Calamento's first shows at Barcelona including the 10th Festival de Jazz i musica creativa de Ciutat Vella, on October 1999, where highly acclaimed by audience and press, and showed the band as a solid and experienced trio with an own identity.
