About Bob Scholte
Bob Scholte (1902 - 1983) was a popular Amsterdam born singer who had a singing career that began in 1916. When he joined the Dutch broadcaster AVRO in early 1931, he started to receive national recognition. His many songs appeared on various labels, including the record label company CNR where he was employed. After numerous singles, his first EP release to enter the Dutch charts was entitled "18 x Bob Scholte". He lived and worked in both the Netherlands and Flanders and has more than 2000 songs to his credit.
