About Barry Manilow
Barry Manilow (born Barry Alan Pincus; June 17, 1943) is an American singer and songwriter whose career has spanned more than sixty years. His recordings include "Could It Be Magic," "Looks Like We Made It," "Mandy," "I Write the Songs," "Ready to Take a Chance Again," "Can't Smile Without You," "Weekend in New England," and "Copacabana (At the Copa)." Manilow has released 51 singles that reached the Top 40 on the Adult Contemporary Chart, including 13 number one hits, 28 top ten entries, and 36 that reached the top twenty. In addition to performing, Manilow has produced and arranged albums for himself and other artists, and has written and performed songs for musicals, films, and corporate commercials for companies such as McDonald's, Pepsi Cola, and Band-Aid. He has received fifteen Grammy Award nominations as a producer, arranger, and performer from 1973 to 2015, winning once. He has also produced Grammy-nominated albums for Bette Midler, Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, and Sarah Vaughan. Manilow has sold over 85 million records worldwide as a solo artist, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists.
