Phil Strickland (born January 30, 1977), professionally known as Anaamaly (pronounced “anomaly”) is an American musician, composer, arranger, and remixer best known for his laid-back, electronic/hip-hop infused instrumentals. He is also the Founder and Creative Director of music label and publisher, Planet27Music, which licenses exclusive instrumental hip-hop, electronic, chillout, trap, ambient, and downtempo tracks for film, television and multimedia outlets. Anaamaly discovered his passion for beat making on drum machines and samplers in the late 90’s and further advanced his production chops during his downtime while deployed in Iraq with the US Army in 2003. He is now a passionate user of Propellerheads Reason and studies music, technology, and business with Berklee College of Music’s renowned online school. Anaamaly released his first official single "Good Morning" in February 2014. Good Morning is also featured on W.O.A. International’s highly anticipated Goa Chillout Zone vol. 6. This double CD compilation album has been an international chart topper since 2008. After striking a 50-song deal with an Asian based music streaming service in early 2014, his tracks can now be heard in hotels, cafes, and retail outlets worldwide.
