About Akini Jing

Akini Jing (Chinese: 朱婧汐; pinyin: Zhū Jìng Xī; born April 18, 1988), formerly known as June Zhu (Chinese: 朱婧; pinyin: Zhū Jìng), born Yue Hanzan (月罕瓒), is a singer of Dai ethnicity from Yunnan, China. She released her first solo album in 2008 under Universal Music Taiwan. Years later after competing in a singing competition, she released a new single on July 25, 2014 and her second solo album in September 2014. She participated in Sisters Who Make Waves in 2020. In 2019, she started to present herself as Akini Jing, changing and exploring a new artistic persona. Her cyborg identity spurs and explores the possibilities and being of humanoids, adopting the perspective of cyborgs. Akini Jing combines topics such as technology, nature, cyborgism, myths, ethnicity and self consciousness with most importantly LOVE to present her form of musical and artistic creation as to achieve a unique blend of musical art form.
