About African Queen
African Queen are a five piece band from London that emerged in 2007. The band's eclectic sound draws on shoegaze elements of the late 1980s and early 1990s; as well as dragging up 60's inspired melody to form a sound typical of bands such as The Warlocks, The Black Angels or The Morning After Girls. The band are currently playing gigs in and around London, whilst recording their first full-length album with producer Johnny Arthur.
